The Michael Charles Adams Memorial Trust aids and assists local children with brain related cancers. We are partners with The Queens Hospital in Romford to grant these children a special wish or to donate a piece of equipment to help make their lives a little easier or special. The Trust was born following many years of charity work by a very special man, Michael Charles Adams MBE (Mick), who was recognised for his devotion by receiving an MBE from Her Majesty The Queen in 2002 .......... more

We aim to do everything possible to grant a wish. No wish is ever too small because sometimes the little things really can make a big difference. So, if you know a suitable child or young person who has a special wish which you would like the MCA Trust to help make come true, then please get in touch with us straightaway to make an initial application. Hopefully everything will meet our criteria and the MCA Trust can then start working on making your child's wish come true .......... more
You can download a Wishes Application Form here and send it back to us for review. This will mean getting some detailed information about the child, their medical condition and anything else that may help us decide if and how we can make the Wish come true. If necessary, and with the permission of the parents or guardian, we will ask our Medical Advisor, Dr Emma Staples, to contact the health professionals who are familiar with the young person’s condition. Hopefully everything will meet our criteria and The MCA Trust will start work on making your Wish come true. The parents or guardian will be consulted at all stages while we plan the Wish.

On the 3rd April 2018, members of the MCA Trust visited children on the Tropical Lagoon ward in Queen's Hospital, Romford, Essex, accompanied by Moana, Belle, Chase and Marshall of Paw Patrol (supplied by the fantastic Sue Ospreay’s Lightnin’ Drama Group in Rainham, Essex). We visited many children including those in the oncology clinic, where we handed over the MCA Toothbrush packs to promote good oral hygiene, especially to those undergoing treatment for head/neck related cancer. The Romford Recorder joined us while we were there, took photographs and have run a story on us!
On the 5th April 2018 we visited Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow for day 2 of our Toothbrush Campaign and we visited the Children's Emergency Department, Dolphin Ward and oncology clinic where we handed out our toothbrush packs and saw the children alongside Chase and Marshall from Paw Patrol and Minnie Mouse!
