The MCA Trust Classic 2023, hosted at the prestigious Shire London, has set a new benchmark for fundraising within the charity, amassing an unprecedented £35,250 to support the work of the MCA Trust.
Now in its 13th year, the MCA Trust Classic was honourably compèred by BBC One Football Focus’ Mark Clemmit, alongside evening appearances from Luton Town Manager Rob Edwards, Luton Town and Tottenham Hotspur legend David Pleat, and Luton Town icon and MCA Trust Patron John Still.
Made possible through the generosity and support of over 30 sponsors, a spokesperson from the events main sponsor, Ariel Re, mentioned “Ariel Re are proud to be the main sponsor for the MCA Trust Classic golf tournament at The Shire London to support his amazing children’s cancer charity“. The support of Ariel Re alongside others played a pivotal role in the event’s success, allowing Robert Still and Lyle Ammon to reach new heights in their annual Classic.
The funds raised will be funnelled into our Education and Careers Scheme, helping bridge cancer related education gaps through private one-to-one tutoring and support. A ground-breaking fundraising total worthy of supporting an initiative to ensure no child misses out due to strenuous cancer treatments.
